A builder
by instinct.
The short version: I see problems and I want to understand them well enough to make something useful. Software is one medium. Writing, design and teaching are others.
The story
The through-line is value creation.
I started from science — biochemistry taught me to observe systems, ask what is actually happening, and resist easy explanations. That way of thinking followed me into technology, design, branding, writing and education.
Over time, the work stopped fitting neatly inside one title. I was writing code, designing identities, building websites, thinking through product architecture, teaching digital skills, writing books, and helping organisations translate vague ideas into things people could understand and use.
I no longer try to force that into a single professional label. I’m a builder. I care about useful systems, clear thinking, strong identities, durable ideas and people becoming more capable.
Today I’m building products including Straep and MediBank Nexus, developing longer-horizon software experiments such as Nod and Eco RI, growing a writing practice, and shaping an education platform around personal development and value creation. For organisational software, websites, management systems and branding, I work through INKSAVVY — the registered company I am building as the delivery layer for that work.
